Embracing Our Core Values: The Foundation of Our Success

In any organization, core values serve as the compass that guides every decision, interaction, and strategy. At Affirmation, we believe our core values—Quality, Dignity, Excellence, Integrity, and Respect & Collegiality—are more than just abstract ideas; they are the driving force behind our commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Choosing the Right Values

Choosing the right values was a deliberate and thoughtful process. We wanted to ensure that our core values resonated not only within our organization but also with the communities and individuals we serve. To achieve this, we gathered input through workshops, surveys, and focus groups. This collaborative approach allowed us to identify values that truly reflect our commitment to ethical healthcare practices and align them with the needs and expectations of those we serve.

The result of this effort is a set of five core values—Quality, Dignity, Excellence, Integrity, and Respect & Collegiality—that form the foundation of everything we do. These values are the bedrock of our culture and the lens through which we approach our work, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible care in a manner that is compassionate, ethical, and respectful.

“At Affirmation, our core values are the result of a thoughtful and inclusive process. We wanted to ensure that the principles guiding our work reflect both our mission and the diverse perspectives of our team. Quality, Dignity, Excellence, Integrity, and Respect & Collegiality were chosen because they embody the commitment we have to our clients, our employees, and our community. These values aren’t just words; they are the foundation of how we operate, ensuring that every decision we make is rooted in compassion, ethical responsibility, and a drive to always do better.”

— Kristina Jones, Chief Executive Officer

Integrity is essential for maintaining strong, trusting relationships with our clients, their families, and within our team.

For me, integrity is the foundation of trust in both my personal and professional life. It’s about staying true to your values, taking responsibility for your actions, and holding yourself accountable. Integrity also involves being transparent, reliable, and standing by your commitments—qualities that build trust and foster lasting, meaningful relationships."

At Affirmation, we foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, creating a workplace where everyone feels heard and appreciated.
