What Happens Next if My Doctor Recommends Therapy?

If therapy is recommended, your doctor will provide a referral to Affirmation to start your care. A skilled clinician will then perform a thorough assessment, taking into account your medical history, standardized evaluations, and personal goals. Based on this information, a customized care plan will be created just for you.

How Long Does Treatment Last?

The length of your therapy will depend on your unique needs. Your clinician, in consultation with your physician, will determine the best frequency for your sessions—whether that’s two times a week, three, or another schedule that fits your situation.

What Should I Expect From Therapy?

Therapy can be challenging, but it’s also highly rewarding. Most patients find that they look forward to their sessions. You’ll work hand-in-hand with your therapist to achieve your goals, and while some days might be tough, the progress you make will be worth the effort. As you advance through your care plan, you’ll see how Affirmation can help you reach milestones you once thought were out of reach.

When Will Therapy Be Complete?

Therapy will come to an end when you’ve achieved your optimal level of function and no longer need skilled care. At this point, your clinician will help you transition by providing resources and training for you, your family, and caregivers to ensure your continued success and independence.
